The founder of Bad Boy Records was cuffed by Homeland Security Investigations at a New York City hotel back in September and is currently facing federal criminal charges in an alleged sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

The music mogul, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, has been denied bail on three separate occasions.

According to sources who spoke to PEOPLE, Combs has settled into life at the detention center, spending time playing card games and basketball with fellow inmates during recreational hours. He also receives weekday visits from family members.

“He’s well-liked inside prison,” a former inmate told the outlet. “People are getting along with him.”

Holiday Meals

This year, Combs’ Christmas meals will follow the detention center’s holiday menu, obtained by PEOPLE.

On Christmas morning, breakfast will be served at 6:00AM, featuring fruit, cereal, breakfast cake, and skim milk. The Christmas Eve breakfast will include the same items, but with pastries replacing the cake.

For Christmas lunch, inmates will choose between baked Cornish hen or BBQ tofu, accompanied by side dishes like macaroni and cheese, spinach, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, a holiday dessert, and a beverage.

Christmas dinner will include two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on whole wheat bread, potato chips, fruit, and a beverage. This is the same meal served at the facility on Thanksgiving.

The Christmas Eve dinner menu will offer turkey roast or Navy beans, baked sweet potato, mixed vegetables, and whole wheat bread with margarine, along with a beverage.

Festive Games

As reported by TMZ, a source has also revealed how the inmates will getting into the Christmas spirit as December comes to a close – with those behind bars taking part in various games.

The inmates will be able to participate in both a Spades tournament and a dominoes competition, per TMZ. Inmates will also be able to take part in a few sports – such as a three-on-three basketball tournament and a soccer competition.

Bail Denials and Court Updates

Combs’ bid for bail has been denied three times. His first request was rejected during his September 17 arraignment, one day after his arrest in a Manhattan hotel room. On September 18, a second judge denied bail due to concerns about witness tampering. His third request, denied on November 27, cited the severity of the charges and the potential danger he poses to the community.

U.S. District Court Judge Arun Subramanian, who denied the third request, stated that “no conditions” would alleviate the risk of witness tampering or obstruction.

Dressed in a khaki prison jumpsuit, Combs appeared in court again on December 18, when Judge Subramanian asked for updates to the case’s motion schedule by January 3, 2025, to ensure a smooth trial process.

The Bad Boy Entertainment founder is due back in court on March 17, 2025, with his federal trial set to begin in May. Until then, Combs will remain at the Metropolitan Detention Center, where his daily routine will include a modest prison lifestyle, far from the luxury he once enjoyed.

During his time behind bars, hundreds more lawsuits have flooded in accusing Diddy of sex-related crimes, with many allegedly taking place at his so-called “freak off parties”.

Diddy vehemently denies any allegations against him and has pleaded not guilty. His reps have said that the rapper and his legal team “have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process”.
