They were part of a larger group celebrating on a yacht off the coast of a place known as Devil’s Throat in Brazil.

Reports indicate that the boat was overcrowded, which added to the danger.

As the group took selfies and enjoyed the sun, the boat was hit by a large wave. The sudden impact caused the vessel to start sinking.

Eyewitnesses say that some members of the group were more focused on capturing perfect photos than on their safety.

He mentioned that he was asked to take more people than his boat could safely hold.

The boat was only designed for five passengers, but he had six influencers on board. This overcrowding likely contributed to the incident.

When the wave struck, panic ensued. Many in the group struggled to stay afloat. The boat sank quickly, leaving the passengers in the water.

Survivors of the tragical sinking shared their horrible experience

Among the survivors was Vanessa Audrey da Silva, who later shared her terrifying experience.

She managed to find a life jacket and clung to rocks to avoid drowning.

“There was a moment in the water when no one could see anyone. I was fighting for life,” she recounted.

Another survivor, Camila Alves de Carvalho, also described the chaos. She held onto a life jacket as the waves crashed around her.

“There were very strong waves, we almost died. We didn’t know how to swim. I hurt my foot and swallowed a lot of water,” she said, recalling the struggle to survive.
